Starker Arts Garden for Education (SAGE)

SAGE is a 1-acre production garden located in Bruce Starker Arts Park. Directions here.

The food grown at SAGE is donated to local food banks and soup kitchens–providing fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to families in our community who cannot afford them. We call this our "Food for Families" program. Each year we donate over 5000 lbs of food to enhance food security in Corvallis! Each year we donate over 50 varieties of fruits and vegetables to enhance food security in Corvallis!

Here are some of the locations where we donate:

  • Stone Soup Kitchen

  • South Corvallis Food Bank

  • Old Mill Center

  • Corvallis Community Center

  • OSU Emergency Food Pantry

  • Garfield Food Pantry

Our goal is to put more nutritious, fresh, locally grown produce in the hands and mouths of our community’s residents who need it most.!

The SAGE Food for Families program is committed to:

  • providing fresh produce to community members who need it most.

  • helping at-risk families learn to grow and eat more fresh produce.

  • educating the public about food security.

  • providing meaningful volunteer and community service opportunities to allow citizens to actively participate in a solution.

Community volunteers are at the heart of SAGE. Each year, more than 1000 people come to help SAGE grow. Learn about volunteer opportunities at SAGE email sage@corvallisenvironmentalcenter.org.

SAGE is also a place to learn.  There are programs for children,  garden-based workshops and community events at the garden almost year-round.
