City Nature Challenge: Corvallis
Friday April 24-27th. Benton County
Seeking nature lovers! Corvallis will be joining cities around the world for the 2026 City Nature Challenge, a global, collaborative, 4 day bioblitz to document local biodiversity using iNaturalist. All iNaturalist observations made in Benton County from April 24-27 will count towards Corvallis’ City Nature Challenge observations. Join in the fun as an individual or join free public events hosted by your favorite local natural resource organizations. Visit our website to learn more about the City Nature Challenge.

Saturday, April 25th - SAGE Work Party and Starker Arts Park City Nature Challenge Bioblitz!
(10 am - Noon)
Join our CEC Crew at SAGE! Get your hands dirty and engage with the earth! We have garden gloves and tools at SAGE. We could use lots of human power! Or help us search for nature for this years first ever City Nature Challenge: Corvallis. Mary's River Watershed Council will join us to help us learn more about the restoration efforts in Starker Arts Park and use this new knowledge to discover more species in the Park! Seeking artists who can help us reimagine our world of waste! Use material destined for the landfill to help us SEE what we are throwing away and REIMAGINE what we can do. Turn garbage into something beautiful, usable, or help draw attention to the world of waste. Display your art work at Planet Palooza!
We would love to see costumes for Planet Palooza's "Procession of the Species Parade" made out of recycled material!

Flora and Fauna Field Day
Join guided tours of the Carson Donation Land Claim and Homestead Site, ~10 miles north of Corvallis, Oregon. Flora & Fauna Field Days combine storytelling and ecological science activities for an immersive place-based history experience. Come hear the remarkable story of Letitia Carson, while walking the lands she once stewarded and communing with the plants & animals who live there now. Use the following link to register:
