Who we are:
The Corvallis Environmental Center provides programming that makes Corvallis a healthier and more sustainable place to live!
The Corvallis Environmental Center (CEC) is a 501c3 nonprofit that was founded in 1994 as a grassroots effort to take action on a number of environmental issues. For over 25 years the CEC has been one of the keystones of our local community. Through programs focused on environmental literacy, food and farming education, local food security, energy efficiency and climate action, the CEC has established itself as a regional leader in the environmental movement.
Our mission is to educate, engage, and inspire people to be involved in creating a healthy, sustainable community. The CEC fills an important niche–every year we directly reach more than 15,000 people through our projects and programs.

Our communities are stunned as we all deal with the short-term and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak along with all the related uncertainties. The Corvallis Environmental Center (CEC) is committed to keeping our participants, families, and staff healthy and following the recommended closures in our area. We work closely with the Corvallis School District for many of our educational programs.
How can you help? Make a Donation for the Food for Families Program.
The Food for Families program is part of our community’s emergency food resource. Starker Arts Garden for Education is a space that provides fresh fruits and vegetables for local relief agencies including the South Corvallis Food Bank. Last year we grew and donated ~9,000 pounds of food. We are always working to maintain and expand this resource. We need your support as this program depends on donations, sponsorships, and grants. There is additional growing space that could be cultivated and planted now. Last fall we also installed three new hoop houses with the goal of extending the growing season and being able to offer more leafy greens during the winter months. Help keep this program green and growing so we can help our community during this time of need!

The hands-on activities made learning about our environment fun. She especially enjoyed the
River Rafting camps where she explored the history of the Willamette River, and the Bike Camps that helped her become a confident rider.

SAGE provides 50% of our overall produce and 100% of our fresh produce. This is our only current source of fresh produce, our residents rely on this for their healthy meal prep.
