Nature Writing (grades 2nd-8th)
Time & Location
About the Event
We learn more about ourselves, others, and our surroundings through communication and learning to process and express inner reflections. By developing writing and reading skills through place-based education, students will establish and expand an understanding of their place in their community and the world.
Join CEC Educator Mylea to explore nature-based books, poems, and short stories. Writing prompts and activities promote creativity and critical thinking, as well as develop a stronger understanding and appreciation for the natural world.
This class is taught each Wednesday 3-4:30pm. It will begin in-person and switch to live virtual in October. Recommended for students with a reading level of grade 2-8.
