Supper at SAGE raises awareness and support for two essential programs of the EdibleCorvallis Initiative: the Starker Arts Garden for Education and the Corvallis Farm to School Program. SAGE offers sustainable agriculture education to the community while growing fresh, seasonal produce for local hunger relief agencies. Last year over 3 tons of produce from SAGE were donated to families in need! The Corvallis Farm to School program brings fruits and vegetables from local farms into all elementary cafeterias in the Corvallis School District and brings groups of children to SAGE–teaching our children about food and how it grows.
This September 6th, join us to celebrate a season of growth at this magical evening in the SAGE garden. Begin the evening with live music and art in the garden, tours of SAGE, tastes of garden pizzas from our cob oven, and samplings of local foods and drink from Alpine Sourdough Bakery, Willamette Valley Cheese Co., Red Hat Melons, CSC Youth House Garden, Spindrift Wines, and Nectar Creek.
A 4-course dinner follows, prepared by celebrated Chefs JC Mersmann of Gathering Together Farm and Scottie Hurley of LBCC’s Culinary Arts Program, and other local food artisans. A complimentary glass of wine is included, with additional wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
When: Saturday, September 6th, 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: the SAGE Garden at SW 45th Place and Country Club Drive
