Starker Arts Garden for Education is a unique community garden located in the Bruce Starker Arts Park. The food grown at SAGE is donated to local food banks and soup kitchens–providing fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to families in our community who cannot afford them. Every year the garden supplies 3 to 4 TONS of organically-grown produce to agencies and families all over Corvallis. Community volunteers are the heart of the SAGE garden; over 500 people a year come help us farm this one-acre plot of city land. Learn more about volunteering at the garden HERE.
SAGE is also a place to learn. Almost year-round the garden offers classes and events, programs for school groups and summer camps, sustainable agriculture internships and service learning opportunities. Click on the pictures below to learn more about SAGE and participate in one of our programs.

Check out this Photo Story about SAGE from one of our amazing youth volunteers who first came to SAGE as part of the Corvallis Parks and Recreation’s Youth Volunteer Corps program. Last summer she came back and decided to use her artistic talent to share the story of SAGE produce: where it grows and where it goes.
This documentary about SAGE was created in 2011 as an intern project.
