These Advanced Adventure Camps are for middle school students entering 6th – 8th grade. Adventures are guided by trained Naturalists but students will use maps, gps, and tracking skills to find trails and explore nature. Each camp offers a different Nature experience and vary in price.

Adventures with Cascadia Expeditions will include rafting and rock climbing with overnight wilderness camping. Exciting camps include van transportation to wilderness locations, camping food supplies, and wilderness gear.  ‘Highly trained  expedition staff  will lead adventures. Nature Center lead teacher will be accompany students and lead unique activities throughout the week to complete the experience.

July 6th – 10th Birding by Bike:  Investigate wild birds while mapping out  local  natural areas by bike. Scouting out hidden birds along corvallis’ hidden trails. Design and build  habitat, houses, and feeders as we discover birds. Multiple field trip days by bike may meet at other locations on Tuesday and Wednesday Cost $ 170

Thursday Field trip: Finley wildlife Refuge hike

July 13th – 17th Rock’n’Roll Adventures:  1 day Rock climbing at Flagstone, overnight camping, then 1 day whitewater rafting the McKenzie River. From blasting volcanoes to rushing rivers dive into real wilderness geology;  hiking to mountain peaks, biking down valleys and climbing rocky river beds.  cost $435 a week

 July 20th – 24th Nature Creations!: Explore nature through advanced art using natural materials and inspiration: basket making, rock tumbling, jewelry making, flower pressing, photography and more!  Cost $170

Newport Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area ($10 Bus Fee)

July 27th-31st Native Survivalist: Taking Native Survivor to the next level by learning the skills you need to survive, including flint knapping, primitive tool  building, creating cordage, basket weaving, and food resources. Discover the 7 uses of cattail, medicinal plants, and telling time from the sun. Cost $170

**Thursday Field Trip Beazell (Bus Trip)

Aug 3rd – 7th River Survival Expedition: Are you prepared for life in the wild? This week of expedition camp includes, orienteering, raft building, bow-drilling fires and more. 3 day and 2 night raft trip that will cover over 70 miles of the Willamette River and Island camping! This camp is a real outdoor Survivalist dream come true! Cost $589 a week

August 10th- 14th GeoCaching Wild Trail Bike: Learn to use GPS devises and apps to track down hidden surprises. Create new geocaching locations and fun inventive ways to hide them all while discovering local trees and ecology. Cost $170 for week

Aug 17th – 21st High Altitude Adventures: Start this excursion with 2 days at Smith Rock learning basic rock climbing and repelling skills. That summit is just the beginning of this camp that will also take you on 2 days of white water rafting on the Deschutes river and discovering Oregon wildlife while spending 3 nights camping in the wilderness! Cost $ 809 a week
